Weekly Update (Sep.28 - Oct. 8)

Theme (All about Me) كل شيء عني


وقال - تعالى -: ﴿ هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوا أَشُدَّكُمْ ثُمَّ لِتَكُونُوا شُيُوخًا وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُتَوَفَّى مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلِتَبْلُغُوا أَجَلًا مُسَمًّى وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ ﴾ [غافر: 67].

It is He who created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot; then He brings you out as a child; then [He develops you] that you reach your [time of] maturity, then [further] that you become elders. And among you is he who is taken in death before [that], so that you reach a specified term; and perhaps you will use reason.

Language and Islamic Studies: اللغة العربية والتربية الإسلامية

- We have been practicing reciting the monthly Duaa.
- The students are learning more educational/Islamic nasheeds.
- We have been reading some interesting books (أنا أيضاً أريد, No more hitting, something from nothing, أنا أستطيع، الله يحبني).
- We have been practicing saying some sentences about one's self (Ana Ismee أنا إسمي...., Ana Muslimum Saeedأنا مسلم\ة سعيد\ة Umri arb3 4 sanawat عمري أربع 4 سنوات).
- Students learned the first 2 letters of the Arabic Alphabets, Alif أ ( Allah الله, Arnab أرنب, Asaad أسد, Ananasأناناس), and only read the story of the letter Baa'  ( بيت Bait، بطة،Baqara بقرة،  Baidبيض،  Batteekh برتقال Burtuqaal، بطيخBatteekh). We will be covering the letters in details next week, Insha'Alalh.

- Our Eid Celebration Field Trip to Midway was a lot of fun. For parents who volunteered that day, please share the pictures you took with me!
- Students participated in the school's October character assembly ' Cooperation'.


Outdoor Play اللعب في الخارج:
- We are trying our best to make school time a fun time. Students had fun experiencing:
- Playing with the big parachute.
- Finding sea shells that teachers hid in the sand.
- Visiting the City park that is right next to the school.


Arts and Crafts الفنون والأعمال اليدوية:
- Students learned about the primary colors (A7mar, Asfar, Azraq).
- We made the letter Alif Craft (Alif Asad).
- Students had fun playing with shaving cream, and food coloring to strengthen their fine motor skills.


English اللغة الإنجليزية:
- Tr. Hiat taught the letter Aa and made an A apple craft with tissue papers and glue sticks.

Quran القرآن:
- There has been a change in the school's daily schedule. Tr. Ibtisam is no longer our Quran teacher. Please welcome Tr. Nisreen. She will be our Quran teacher for this year, Insha'Allah.
- One activity teacher Nisreen did to explain the meaning of Surat Alfatiha is she brought a robe and made the students walk on it as Assirata Almustaqeem الصراط المستقيم, and made them carry a basket on their heads full of items (Good deeds or bad deeds items) to see which ones will help the person holding it make it to Jannah.

French اللغة الفرنسية:
- Tr. Said taught the letter A and helped the students match and color some worksheets while teaching french vocabulary.

Mathالحساب:
- Students learned the number 1 واحد. Allah is 1 الله واحد.
- Students are being taught how to read the Hijri Calendar. Please check the links below to the days of the week, and months in Islam's Nasheeds we sing in class.
