Weekly Update (Nov. 24-28)


Theme
الله الخالق (الله خالق الإنسان) 

قال تعالى: {الله الَّذي خَلَقَكُم من ضَعْفٍ ثمَّ جعلَ من بعدِ ضَعْفٍ قوَّةً ثمَّ جعلَ من بعد قوَّةٍ ضَعْفاً وشَيْبَةً..} (30 الروم آية 54)

It is Allah Who has created you in a state of helplessness as a baby, then gave you strength to come out of helplessness in youth, then after strength again helplessness and grey hair in old age. He creates whatever He wills and it is He Who is the All-knowing, the Almighty. (Surah Ar-Rum. Aya 54).

Language لغة عربية:
-           We started talking about the creation of human beings.
-           A new letters has been taught through the following:
-          Identify the letter خ on a worksheet
-          use a toy car to go over the letter خ that is shaped like a road.
-          Students tasted fresh خيار and خبز. They also looked for them in their lunch bags.
-          Students got turns trying the خروف hat.
-          listen to the stories of the letter خ (خديجة والخروف).
-          to integrate the letter to Islam we talked about the story of prophet Ibrahim al Khalil and the sacrifice.
-          Students are going to work on their خ خروف craft tomorrow, Insha’Allah.

Math حساب:
-  Counting from 1- 5 backwards by singing number Nasheeds.
- Teach one-to-one correspondence. I.e. match number 2 with 2 objects.
- Finished learning number 3.
- Sorting big and small items. كبيرٌ كبير – صغيرٌ صغير

Science علوم:
-      We talked about the human life cycle and made the craft (baby- child- adult- old age) using paper plates, glue and crayons.

Islamic Studies التربية الإسلامية:
- We started a new routine where students start their day with reciting Ayat Al-Kursi and listen to it before sleeping. Students are getting really good at picking up some words form the Ayah, Masha'Allah!





Artsفنون:
-      Students used lunch bags, googlie eyes, rods and markers to make ح حوت craft.

Gym رياضة:

-      Students are still practicing balancing on one foot. They had fun racing while hopping on one foot.
